Add Security Key

After signing in you will land on the demo app's Admin Page. From this page you can sign out or manage security keys. To add a new security key, click the Manage Security Keys button.

Now click the + at the top of the screen to start the process of adding a new security key.

You may now enter a name for your security key. If you do not enter an name, one will automatically be created for you.

Now use the security key that you would like to register. The U2F Client works with multiple Security Key transports.

  •  Virtual Security Key
This security key is built into the U2F Client. This is selected by clicking the button with the image of the key on it.
  •  NFC Security Key
NFC security keys of any form factor can be used. To use the NFC device, place it on the back of the phone until the operation is completed.
  •  BLE Security Key
Bluetooth Low Energy (Smart) security keys will automatically be connected if they are advertising the U2F Service.
  •  USB Security Key
USB (HID) security keys require a USB OTG cable so that it can be used with your phone. Once connected, you will be prompted to give the app permission to access the USB device. Once permission is granted it will start polling the USB security key.

Once the security key is added it will show up in the list.
