What is the SurePassID PAM?
The SurePassID PAM is a software component that implements the Linux Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM) specification providing dynamic authentication support for applications and services in a Linux.
This component allows companies to add strong authentication using Oath or Push (e.g. Fido U2F) authentication to protect any Linux system via direct login, SSH, and other Linux apps. The SurePassID PAM component automatically interfaces with the SurePassID Authentication Server allowing system admins to use the same strong authentication credentials on all servers across the entire enterprise.
The SurePassID PAM is downloadable source code through a private GitHub repository. There are instructions for building, configuring and installing on Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS, and iOS platforms and these can easily be adapted for other PAM based systems.
