RADIUS Agent (VPN Bridge)
The SurePassID RADIUS Agent adds multi-factor authentication to any RADIUS-compatible system. Some such systems include:
- Firewalls
- VPNs
- Wireless Access Points
- Windows Universal Access Gateway (UAG)
- Windows Remote Server Gateway
- Visualization Systems such as Citrix
The RADIUS Agent is a multi-threaded high performance server that runs as a Windows service. The configuration for the RADIUS Agent is performed using the Configuration Manager application, which is installed as part of the Local Agent installation. In addition to second factor authentication, SurePassID can also authenticate the first factor (what you know) using Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, LDAP, or SurePassID Cloud Identity Services. The second factor (what you have) is authenticated using a SurePassID credential assigned to the user. Alternatively, SurePassID can send a temporary one-time passcode via SMS or email messages to users that: (1) do not have a credential assigned to them; or (2) as a back-up to users that already have a credential but do not have it in their procession at that moment.
